The era of passive engagement with the SDGs is over.

4.6 billion years have passed since the Earth was formed. In the 7 million-year history of humankind, modern civilization is but a fleeting moment.
This continues to wipe out as many as 40,000 species of life from the Earth every year. Currently, more than 45,000 species are endangered. Global warming, biodiversity collapse—
The SDGs, a common goal set by the world, have been swept away by the waves of war and economic turmoil, and progress has stalled.
The UN SDGs report warns that less than 15% of the 2030 targets will be achieved. The root cause is a sense of obligation. A society driven by obligation wears down and eventually grinds to a halt.
The era of the "obligation" (passive voice) of "we must protect the Earth" is over.
From now on, it's an era of "passion (active voice)" – the desire to protect the Earth because it's beautiful.
Let's shift our focus from the passive voice to the active voice of SDGs.

As a celebration to declare this turning point to the world, we will broadcast it from Lake Towada in Tohoku in June 2027.
The Ministry of the Environment calls Towada-Hachimantai National Park a "museum of volcanoes"—on the shores of a caldera lake reborn after destruction, the world's wisdom, art, music, and athletes will gather to forge a "new contract with the Earth." This awe-inspiring moment will be broadcast nationwide on television and streamed globally to the world.
The production will be handled by EP JASON I. NAKAMURA (NBC Entertainment Inc. & its partner companies), who has worked on 2-3 hour special programs for NHK, TBS, Fuji TV, and TV Asahi, and has been in charge of dome concert illusions for Ayumi Hamasaki, SMAP, Dreams Come True, and TUBE.
