ONE BLUE! New Earth Creation Guild — Towada-Hachimantai National Park

The Earth's own proof of "regeneration . "

Lake Towada

THE SACRED LAND OF REBIRTH — TOWADA · OIRASE · HAKKODA · HACHIMANTAI

Sanctuary of Rebirth

The Earth once destroyed itself,
And then, miraculously, it was revived.

The proof is here.

Proof of "regeneration" written by the Earth itself
Tens of thousands of years ago, massive volcanic activity scorched this land. ...Lake Towada was born after that "destruction."
This place has been revered as a "sacred site of regeneration (caldera)" where the Earth renewed itself and created true beauty .
At a time when global SDGs are stagnating, it is a historical inevitability that a new Earth will be born right here.

Sacredness: The context of calderas

This is not merely a scenic spot. It is a place where the Earth itself demonstrated "destruction and regeneration ." This festival stands within that context and declares "the regeneration of humanity."

A prototype for coexistence of life

A microcosm of life's coexistence, woven together by water and forests over unimaginable periods of time . It embodies how humanity transcends the realm of environmental conservation and exists as an integral part of all things.

Legacy for the region

The name of Lake Towada will be etched in history as the " epicenter of Earth's regeneration ," which transformed environmental protection from something to be endured to something to aspire to, and will be elevated to a brand that future generations can be proud of.

Officially recognized by the Ministry of the Environment — Towada-Hachimantai National Park

Japan's proud "Museum of Volcanoes"

Towada-Hachimantai National Park is a national park that the Ministry of the Environment calls a "museum of volcanoes" because it contains a wide variety of volcanoes that are part of the Nasu Volcanic Belt. Its landscape features caldera lakes, volcanic mountain ranges, pristine natural forests, and canyons, and it condenses all landscape elements related to volcanic activity, such as stratovolcanoes, volcanic plateaus, lava flows, volcanic phenomena, and hot springs. Spanning three prefectures—Aomori, Akita, and Iwate—it is a representative natural heritage site of Japan, designated as a national park in 1936.

Lake Towada was born at the end of destruction.
Oirase was carved by the waters of the universe.
Hakkoda continues to beat the pulse of the Earth.
The dragon's eye of Hachimantai opens only once a year.

It all began at this sacred place,
Eventually, to national parks throughout Japan—
AETHER's baton will be passed on.

"The Earth is alive."
Come, exhale with her."

At the end of destruction,
The Earth has become beautiful.

It is believed that Mount Towada also erupted 61,000 years ago and 36,000 years ago. While there hasn't been a massive eruption since 15,000 years ago, there have been many large eruptions. After the eruption 15,000 years ago, the Goshikiiwa Volcano formed in the lake.

Lake Towada is a double caldera lake that was formed approximately 15,000 years ago when the land collapsed due to a massive volcanic eruption. Once, it was a place where a scorching force capable of burning everything in its path resided.

But with time, the land regained its greenery. The water took on a clear blue hue. The forests grew deeper, and the silence became imbued with a sacred atmosphere. Destruction transformed into a miraculous rebirth.

The Earth did not give up. Here is the proof. That's why we won't give up either.

"The Earth did not give up."
Neither shall we.

It was no coincidence that AETHER New BLUE BATON's "X" chose the shores of Lake Towada as its setting. Witnessing the Earth's regenerative power firsthand, humanity forges a new contract with the planet—the reason why it had to be this land is etched deep within the lake's depths.

AETHER PROGRAM — An experience of resonance with the Earth

Synchro Bracelet
Let's listen together to the heartbeat of the Earth.

Standing on the shores of Lake Towada, listening to the sounds of the Oirase River, and feeling the wind on the ridges of Mount Hakkoda—in that moment, humanity returns to being "part of the Earth's life." At the AETHER Festival, the three locations—the main venue on the lakeshore, Mount Hakkoda, and Oirase—will be linked in real time, and an experiential program called "Synchro Breath" will be developed in which all participants simultaneously share "the breath of the Earth."

A future of symbiosis where humanity returns to being a part of Earth's life, existing alongside all life, and once again sharing the same breath .
That is AETHER's declaration.

The 1st edition of 2027: Two sanctuaries connected to the main venue.

The AETHER Festival doesn't end at the main venue on the shores of Lake Towada.
Two satellite campsites within the national park, Oirase Gorge & Sukayu Campsite, will be linked and broadcasting live in real time.
Participants will simultaneously experience "different pulses of the Earth."

S ATELLITE A — Mt. Hakkoda-Odake / Sukayu Campsite

To those aiming for the summit of Mount Hakkoda-Odake—
A mountain climbing experience that makes you one with the earth.

We are recruiting participants for a climb of Mt. Hakkoda-Odake, which stands at an altitude of 1,585m. The climbing program will start from the Sukayu Campsite in the national park and aim for the summit. From the summit, a real-time broadcast will connect with the main venue at Lake Towada, allowing all participants to share "the view from the highest point on Earth."

*There are candidates for celebrity navigator.

(Mountain climbing with participants selected through an open call). Details will be announced soon.

SATELLITE B — Oirase Stream / Natural History Museum

A stream etched by the drops of stars—walking towards the source of life.

The Oirase Stream, "formed by the drops of stars." This participatory program allows participants to experience the origin of water, the memory of the Earth, and the birth of life while walking along the stream. Participants will gather at the Oirase Stream Nature Museum, which will be connected to the main venue via live video link.

4.6 billion years ago, water poured down from space, nourishing the Earth and nurturing life. That same water, after tens of thousands of years, now flows here. The Oirase Stream is more than just a beautiful landscape; it is the place where the first baton was passed from space to Earth .

Originating solely from Lake Towada, a crystal-clear stream winds its way through rocks, creates waterfalls, and nourishes the forest for 14 kilometers. The unique topography, shaped by the erosion of volcanic tuff, continues to etch a "memory of water" found nowhere else in Japan.

S Hachimantai Dragon Eye "Dragon's Eye"

Dragon's Eye Hachimantai_edited.jpg

2nd 2028
The dragon's eye opens—to Hachimantai.

In 2028, AETHER will move on to its "next sacred site" in Towada-Hachimantai National Park. Kagami-numa, located near the summit of Mt. Hachimantai on the border of Akita and Iwate prefectures, is a crater lake formed by a volcanic eruption, where a miraculous natural phenomenon appears for only a short period each year from late May to early June.

As the snowmelt fills the swamp, the snow in the center is lifted by buoyancy, and the dragon's eye-like shape "opens." The contrast between the emerald green water and the pure white snow—it is a moment of regeneration that the Earth shows only once a year.

"When the dragon's eyes open, Space Arthur will..."

It's staring back at us.
